Since the core idea of SnowCMS is allowing plugins to extend the features and capabilities of the system, whether it be adding a forum or simply changing how something is displayed, hooks are all required to do so. So of course, we can understand that there may not always be the hooks and filters you need, so you can suggest them in the suggestions board.
Anyways, if you do require a hook or filter to be added somewhere in SnowCMS, please be sure to tell us what it is you are trying to accomplish with the hook, and where you think it should be added. The first part is the most important, as there might be a different way to solve your problem and we may not need to add another hook or filter after all
But of course, don't hesitate to ask! Without plugins, SnowCMS is nothing more than a member system.
